FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski has appointed ATSC President Mark Richer as a member of the Top of Form
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Technological Advisory Council (TAC). The TAC comprises a diverse array of leading experts that helps the FCC identify important areas of innovation and develop informed technology policies supporting America’s competitiveness and job creation in the global economy.
Members of the ATSC Board of Directors, Lynn Claudy, Senior VP, National Association of Broadcasters, and Brian Markwalter, Senior VP, Consumer Electronics Association, also serve on the TAC.

The Advanced Television Systems Committee, Inc., is an international, non-profit organization developing voluntary standards and recommended practices for digital terrestrial broadcasting. ATSC member organizations represent the broadcast, broadcast equipment, motion picture, consumer electronics, computer, cable, satellite, and semiconductor industries. ATSC also develops digital terrestrial broadcasting implementation strategies and supports educational activities on ATSC standards.
