ATSC 2017 sponsor Pearl TV represents more than 220 member stations around the country. Pearl TV joined ATSC in 2014 to strengthen the involvement of its organization’s eight member broadcast companies and to help ensure ATSC 3.0’s successful deployment. Founded in 2010, Pearl is a business organization of TV broadcast companies with a shared interest in exploring forward-looking opportunities, including innovative ways of promoting local TV content and developing digital media and wireless platforms for the broadcast industry. Pearl member companies reach two-thirds of the U.S. population with their stations and collectively book nearly $5 billion in annual advertising revenue. Pearl’s membership includes Cox Media Group, Graham Media Group, Hearst Television Inc., Media General Inc., Meredith Local Media Group, Raycom Media, the E.W. Scripps Company, and TEGNA, Inc.

The Advanced Television Systems Committee, Inc., is an international, non-profit organization developing voluntary standards and recommended practices for digital terrestrial broadcasting. ATSC member organizations represent the broadcast, broadcast equipment, motion picture, consumer electronics, computer, cable, satellite, and semiconductor industries. ATSC also develops digital terrestrial broadcasting implementation strategies and supports educational activities on ATSC standards.
