TG1 has approved a ballot to withdraw A/58, “Harmonization with DVB SI in the Use of the ATSC Digital Television Standard.” The Membership ballot has been issued and closes on October 25.
The following ballots were authorized by TG1 on September 19 (issuance of
the ballots are pending):
– S4-362r1, Working Draft Revision of A/153 Part 8, “HE AAC Audio System
Characteristics.”
– S6-759r1, Working Draft Corrigendum to ATSC A/52:2012, “Digital Audio
Compression (AC-3) (E-AC-3) Standard.”
– S8-937r6, Working Draft Revision of A/71, “ATSC Parameterized Services
Standard.”
– S12-075r13, Working Draft Standard: 3DTV Terrestrial Broadcasting, Part 2
– Service Compatible Hybrid Coding using Real-Time Delivery.”

The Advanced Television Systems Committee, Inc., is an international, non-profit organization developing voluntary standards and recommended practices for digital terrestrial broadcasting. ATSC member organizations represent the broadcast, broadcast equipment, motion picture, consumer electronics, computer, cable, satellite, and semiconductor industries. ATSC also develops digital terrestrial broadcasting implementation strategies and supports educational activities on ATSC standards.
